A big thank you to Dr. Koku Awoonor-Williams for his lecture on, “Innovation in Public Health”; the second in a series of Public Health Seminars for the 2020/2021 Academic year.
His lecture focused on the ongoing integration of Telemedicine into the Ghanaian national healthcare system and the employment of a novel tool, the Community Scorecard system into Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS).
Dr. Koku Awoonor-Williams is a public health specialist and the immediate past Director for Policy, Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation of the Ghana Health Service. A health systems and policy analyst, he has almost 3 decades of experience in senior health management. He has served as a District Medical Officer/Medical Superintendent as well as a Regional Director of Health Services.
