The MPH degree is an accelerated, intensive one-year program designed for highly motivated students and professionals seeking to enhance their career in public health. The MPH exposes students to a range of important issues affecting global public health. Students benefit from research-informed teaching and opportunities to work with key public health professionals through local community-engaged projects.
The curriculum is designed for students to master all of the necessary competencies needed for today’s public health challenges. Students will complete two semesters of coursework followed by three months of designing and leading community-based health projects to complete their original thesis work.
The program capstone includes a meaningful practice experience through hands-on fieldwork placement in local communities. Ensign also boasts a very low student-to-faculty ratio of 5:1 and a student body with diverse educational and professional experiences. Students can choose from either a weekday or weekend program.

Our compressed course schedule, weekday or weekend, allows students plenty of free time to explore Ghana. Our campus hosts can help arrange excursions throughout Ghana for an additional cost. Students can also use their course breaks to travel throughout Africa.
While U.S. federal financial aid is not available at foreign institutions, many companies provide private student loans at reasonable rates. Below is a list of several options, this is not an endorsement or recommendation for any one provider but serves as information only. Students should conduct their own research to select the provider that meets their needs best.

It is recommended that all students have a valid passport before applying to the MPH program. In addition, your passport must be valid for 6 months beyond your completion/graduation date.
All international students studying at Ensign Global College are required to apply for and receive a student visa before entering the country. Our team will assist students with the process but students are solely responsible for completing the application, all application requirements, and paying all fees.

Student rooms are steps away from classrooms and are fully furnished with a private bathroom. The 50-acre campus also includes a conference centre, classrooms, computer lab, library, auditorium, and covered outdoor space.
Ensign Global College is accredited by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) and is affiliated with Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), partners with the University of Utah, U.S.A. and the Center for Business, Health, and Prosperity. The University of Utah-based center provides experiential-based learning opportunities for staff, students, and faculty. These endeavors are impact-driven, and aim to improve life quality around the globe.
Ensign Global College is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health as a public health program. The accreditation applies only to the following degree programs: Master of Public Health Degree. Accreditation does not apply to the unit as a whole, and other degrees and areas of study offered by this institution are not included in the unit of accreditation review. Ensign Global College admits students twice a year for either a September or February start. The online application process is easy to complete and the GRE is not required. Students will be interviewed by the admissions committee remotely.
After successful admission, students will need to apply for a student visa, pay their deposit, and reserve student housing. Our staff will guide you through the process to ensure a smooth transition to your global graduate studies.
