Ensign Global College hosted its annual Grand Social Event on Thursday, November 30, 2023, where the two main student clubs, the Change Makers and the Change Drivers, battled for the coveted trophy by competing in various activities and challenges, including trivia quizzes, charades, singing, and dancing. Participants had to demonstrate their knowledge, teamwork, communication, and entertainment skills in front of a panel of judges and a cheering audience. The Change Drivers took back the trophy this year. The event brings an enthusiastic atmosphere to the campus each year as the student clubs put forth their best in the competition. Faculty and staff also join in the fun by playing the role of judges and cheering both clubs on to victory. The event is an opportunity for Ensign Global College students, faculty, and staff to foster a sense of community and belonging that extends beyond academic pursuits.
Gracia Helarie Fraikue, an MPH candidate and a member of the Change Makers, shared her thoughts on the event: “One of the things I love about Ensign Global College is being able to organize extracurricular activities for students, and the best part is that it’s student-led. Even though my club didn’t clinch the victory, we relished every moment. In the end, we’re all winners.” A special thank you to the organizers, participants, judges, and supporters of this year’s event. The event is a standing Ensign Global College tradition that is anticipated each academic year at the conclusion of the first semester.
