Career at H2GO || CBA Volunteer Programme

The Health2Go program agenda is to train and equip Community Health Volunteers who reside in the community setting to assess and treat childhood illnesses such as malaria, pneumonia and diarrhoea with readily available inexpensive medicines. The program aligns with Ghana Health Service’s national strategy of helping improve access to healthcare in communities with focus on children under-5 years of age and their families/communities

Health 2 Go (H2GO) Refresher Training for Health Volunteers

Traditional models of healthcare require people to go to care facilities to access basic services. Health 2 Go ( H2GO ) employs the process of bringing health systems to the doorstep of families.
With this approach in mind, it becomes imperative to train and equip local community health volunteers with the most up-to-date knowledge to assess and treat childhood illnesses. Adequate training and evaluation are considered key to ensuring health volunteers perform well, are motivated, and have well-defined roles in the community in relation to the health system.

Together, Ensign Global College and H2Go host frequent refresher training. Recently, 23 Community Based Agents (CBA’s) from the Atwima Nwabiagya North CHPS Zone participated in the training. Facilitators delivered presentations on fever and malaria, outlining the causes, symptoms, and prevention.
