About Health2Go

Health2Go is a distributed healthcare social franchise designed to strengthen and extend the Integrated Community Case Management (iCCM) strategy in hard-to-reach and underserved communities in emerging market settings.

Developed by Professor Stephen Alder and Mr. Rick Haskins, Health2Go was created to address a persistent challenge in global health: how to reliably deliver high-quality, community-level primary care at scale while remaining fully integrated within national health systems. The model focuses on effective community-based management of priority childhood conditions, improved household health literacy, and reliable referral and follow-up within established clinical care pathways.

Health2Go utilizes community health workers, known as Community-Based Agents (CBAs), who: (1) directly manage priority health conditions among children following the iCCM protocol (malaria, respiratory disease, severe diarrhoea, nutritional deficits), (2) improve community health literacy and practices through home-based health education, and (3) provide critical links to clinical systems.

Ensign Global University, in partnership with CastAPebble, works closely with Ghana Health Service Ghana Health Service and district health leadership to test, refine, and package Health2Go for safe, affordable, and scalable implementation.

Health2Go recognizes health as fundamental to socioeconomic development. By increasing preventive practices and improving access to timely, effective primary care, the model supports healthier households and communities as the basis for long-term prosperity.
