Collaboration with Ghana’s Ministry of Health and Ghana Health Service
Ensign Global University works with the Ministry of Health and the Ghana Health Service at community, district, regional, and national levels to develop, test, and align Health2Go with policy and routine practice. This includes facility-level integration of referrals and resupply, monthly reviews with District Health Management Teams, engagement with regional leadership, and national coordination on strategy and standards. In 2024, Ensign Global in partnership with Cast A Pebble hosted the National Health2Go Summit to convene CBAs, district and regional leaders, national professional associations, and representatives from GHS and MOH. A formal Memorandum of Understanding among EGU, GHS, and MOH was also established in 2024, signaling system-level commitment to Health2Go’s potential for deployment across Ghana.

Supervision inside GHS
CBAs are supervised by community health nurses already employed within GHS, aligning responsibilities and incentives so supervision, resupply, and data reviews happen within routine district workflows.

Facility integration
Designated clinics oversee sub-district implementation with site managers who review referral protocols, reconcile activity reports and registers, and manage medication resupply so community services connect cleanly to clinical care.

National engagement
Leadership meetings, including a 2024 briefing with the GHS Director-General to align program strategy with national policy.

Convening and Learning
The 2024 National Health2Go Summit at Ensign brought together CBAs, district and regional leaders, professional associations, and MOH/GHS representatives.

Government Commitment
A 2024 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) among Ensign Global University supported by Cast A Pebble, Ghana Health Service, and the Ministry of Health formalizes collaboration and readiness for broader deployment.
