Ensign Global University Welcomes New Students with an Inspiring 13th Matriculation Ceremony

In a vibrant and symbolic ceremony under warm, sunny skies on April 12, Ensign Global University officially welcomed its F25 cohort of students to the Faculty of Community Health for the 2025–2026 academic year. This is the first matriculation being held after Ensign Global received its university charter in December 2024.

The matriculation ceremony, held at the university’s auditorium, marked a significant milestone for the 34 new students who were formally admitted into Ensign Global's academic community.

The assembly was officially constituted by Professor Stephen C. Alder, who opened the ceremony with a message of inspiration. Dr. Stephen Manortey, Director for Academic Affairs, presented the matriculants, highlighting their acceptance into the university.

As part of the formal proceedings, the students took the Matriculation Oath, administered by Mr. Patrick Kuma, Registrar of Ensign Global University. With their right hands placed solemnly on their chests, the students pledged loyalty to the university’s values and mission. They promised to study diligently, seek the truth, and uphold the good name of Ensign Global University.

In his address, Professor Stephen C. Alder, President of Ensign Global University, encouraged the newly admitted students to fully immerse themselves in their academic journey and seize the opportunities that lie ahead. “Become the fullest measure of yourself,” he urged. “Commit to learning, growing, and developing. You are now Ensonians — ambassadors of Ensign Global University. Strive to live up to that title.” He also highlighted the University's core pillars: Leadership, Professionalism, and Entrepreneurship, urging students to embody these values throughout their time at Ensign Global and beyond.

Leadership: “EGU is for those who are ready to solve challenges, influence others, and lead with vision and integrity.”

Professionalism: “Strive to be the best as public health professionals. Live, guide, and support others while managing yourself with excellence.

Entrepreneurship: “Utilize available resources creatively and responsibly to make meaningful impact.”

Professor Alder acknowledged the exceptional faculty and staff at Ensign Global University, and extended heartfelt appreciation from the Board of Governors, especially Robert and Dr Lynette Gay.

Ms. Sally Pearl Davordzie, representative of the F25 cohort, delivered a heartfelt message on behalf of the student body. She urged her peers to embrace their diverse backgrounds as a strength, encouraging collaboration and mutual support.“Let us learn from one another, share ideas freely, and stand together—especially in challenging times,” she said.

The matriculation ceremony marks the beginning of an exciting journey for Cohort F25. As they step into their roles as public health scholars and future leaders, the Ensign community celebrates their potential and warmly welcomes them into its growing global family. Welcome, F25 Cohort — and congratulations on officially becoming Ensonians!
