Dr. Lartey holds a Bachelor of Science in Medical Sciences from the University of Ghana, Legon, and an MBChB from the University of Ghana Medical School. He earned his MPH with a sub-specialization in Nutrition from Ensign Global University and completed his PhD in Public Health, Wellness at Work, and Behavioral Medicine at the University of Salford, UK.

Lawrence Lartey, PhD

Dr Lartey has a Bachelor of Science in Medical Sciences from the University of Ghana (Legon), MBChB from the University of Ghana Medical School. He had his MPH (sub- specialization in Nutrition) from the Ensign Global University. He received his PhD in Public Health, Wellness at Work and Behavioral Medicine under the supervision of Prof Penny Cook (Interim Pro Vice Chancellor Research and Enterprise) at the University of Salford, UK.

Dr Lartey obtained a Master of Public Administration (sub-specialization in International Relations and Diplomacy) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental Safety from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration.

Dr Lartey has a certificate in Health Leadership and Management from the University of Washinton (USA) and a certificate in Data Science and Machine Learning Data Driven Decisions from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA). He also holds a Master of Arts in Ministry from the Trinity Theological Seminary.

He is passionate about medical and surgical emergency services, preventive medicine, global health security, border health management, migration health and scientific communication. Dr Lartey has expertise in strategic document development, program planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. He is an advocate for health systems strengthening, one health approach and the network of practice. Dr Lartey is very much interested in public health emergency preparedness, response, impact mitigation and recovery.

Dr Lartey is a member of the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons with specialization in Applied Epidemiology and Disease Control.
