The Master of Public Health (MPH) Program
Our Master of Public Health (MPH) program equips graduates to bridge the gap between public health and their respective professional fields, with a strong focus on data analysis and critical thinking skills. Graduates will be well-prepared to tackle complex public health issues at local, national, and global levels. Our diverse student body includes physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, experts in the physical and social sciences, and leaders in community health research.
We offer two program options tailored to meet the diverse needs of our students:
- Weekend/Hybrid Session (Thursday-Saturday): Designed for working professionals and healthcare practitioners, this flexible option allows students to balance their careers while pursuing their MPH degree. It’s perfect for those who require a more adaptable learning schedule.
- Regular Session: A 12-month intensive program offering a comprehensive MPH experience. Ideal for students seeking a full-time commitment, this session provides both in-depth study and hands-on experience, with classes held from Monday to Thursday, preparing graduates for the next step in their academic or professional journey.
The Role of Public Health
Public health is a discipline that promotes and protects the health of people and the communities where they live, learn, work, and play. Regardless of the size of the populations they serve, public health professionals work to prevent health problems from occurring or reoccurring, and mitigate the effects when problems do occur.
They accomplish this task through educational programs, the creation and implementation of policies, the administration of services, and through research. Therefore, a major objective of public health is to promote healthcare equity, quality, and accessibility.
Those graduating with a Master of Public Health Degree from Ensign Global College have an opportunity for employment with numerous domestic and international organizations including non-government organizations, health service organizations, academic institutions, private companies, NPOs, hospitals, and government agencies.
